The Information Technology program is for students interested in computer systems, services, and support. This program provides core skills and knowledge necessary for computer systems, network administration, and security careers, launching IT careers in today’s digital world.

The field of IT/Computer Science is experiencing rapid growth, and our program teacher, Ms. Johnson, is equipped with comprehensive knowledge of the industry. She is dedicated to providing students with precise guidance to help them navigate their way towards a successful career in this ever-evolving field.

Course Descriptions & Certifications

Year One - IT/Computer Science

  • * Introduction to Computer Science, Coding, and Digital marketing.

  • * Reading proficiency at 10th grade level

    * Must have successfully completed Algebra 1

    * Excellent high school attendance record.

Year Two - IT/Computer Science

  • * Advanced IT helpdesk skills

    * College prep

    *Computer Science skills

  • * Must pass 1st year program and meet/demonstrate competence of course standards to qualify for 2nd year; limited space available.

    * All students entering the program will start as Year 1 students regardless of grade, unless they can demonstrate, via testing, that they have the skills to enter as a Year 2 student.

Certifications & College Credit

  • *CompTIA IT Fundamentals certification

    * CompTIA Cybersecurity certification

  • * Computer Science Programing: (Semester 2, Year 1) available through Western Oregon University/Willamette Promise program. Eligible for 4 credits, for $30 a year.
